The backroads of Canyonlands are for people with a real tolerance for discomfort. Hard roads, harder weather, and nobody at all coming to help you. After countless hours of grinding across that barren ground there was this. A formation that seemed to be asking to be pulled up into the sky, red rock set against a blue so vivid it looked like a different photograph. Everything worth seeing out there has arranged to be difficult to reach. I have come to suspect it is on purpose.
