Utah Blaze

The American Southwest is a land of magic and color. The rock forms a network of pattern and shape that answers the gentle sky reigning over the top of it, and that chemistry was heightened that day by the fire raging somewhere out beyond the ridge. The colors of sunrise came through it milky and subtle, set against a foreground you could feel the texture of from where you stood. It is mornings of this kind that keep me permanently astonished by the beauty of a desert.
