Breaching

Off the coast of Alaska, the Kenai Fjords are full of large mammals and fabulous sea creatures, and on that morning the whole bay seemed to know something I did not. As the puffins took flight the first breach came. Slow and elegant were the motions made by such an enormous animal, far slower than they have any right to look. Surrounded on every side by mountainous islands, it was all a sight to behold. Most of the animal is still under there. What you get is the part that surfaces, which is the entire bargain with whales.
