Limited Edition
Crescent
A fine art photograph by Justin Cooper
A crescent moon over the moai after the sun had gone, palms holding the left edge of the frame and everything else given over to silhouette. What you are looking at is a set of shapes carved specifically in order to be looked at, being looked at, by a light that has not altered in the eight hundred years since they were cut. The people who made them are gone. The audience is gone. The moon turned up anyway.
