Damp Rising
A fine art photograph by Justin Cooper
Sun coming down through wet conifers above a waterfall, the beams picked out and made visible by the spray the fall throws up into them. The light does this for perhaps twenty minutes after it clears the trees, and only on a morning when the air is already carrying water. Both conditions have to agree on the same day, and they rarely do. I had been up there three mornings running before they did.
