Hobbit Hole

A fine art photograph by Justin Cooper

A small structure set down in the Icelandic nowhere as though it had been placed there by somebody's hand and then immediately forgotten about. It is only visible from one side. Come at it from any other direction at all and the country simply closes over it. No roof, no door, nothing but the same green going on to the same horizon. I drove past it twice before I saw it once.
