A temple hall in Kyoto with the doors left wide open to the maples. The lanterns are the only lit things in the whole room, which is to say the room has looked at itself, and looked at the trees outside, and concluded that the trees matter more. Everything in the construction of it agrees. It is right, and it has been right for a very long time, and I sat on the boards a while and did not disagree.
