Lost in Time
A fine art photograph by Justin Cooper
A row of cars left against a rock face long enough for the paint to become geology. Chrome, rust, and one of them still improbably blue after all this time. Nobody drove these out here in order to abandon them. That is not how it happens. They simply stopped, one at a time, in the order they gave out, and were left where they stopped, and the desert began the slow work of taking them in.
