Soft Paradise

McWay Falls. One of the very few freshwater falls in the United States that goes straight over into the sea. The trail down has since been destroyed and will not be rebuilt, so what is left of that walk is this photograph and whatever the people who made it are still carrying. Intense ocean colors underneath, a sunset laid over the top, and the water falling out of the land into the Pacific as it has done since long before there was a trail. A Californian masterpiece, and now a closed one.
