The Golden Gate at the far end of blue hour, the shutter held open long enough to flatten the whole bay into something you feel you could walk across. The deck lights come on before the sky has finished with itself, so for perhaps a quarter of an hour the bridge is lit twice over, once by us, once by whatever is left of the day, and the two lights are almost, but not quite, the same color.
