Two Waters

A point of land with the ocean coming at it from both sides at once, and a town that looked at that and decided to live exactly there. On the left the water lies down and goes the color of a swimming pool. On the right it arrives with its whole weight and breaks white along four miles of sand. Whoever built here chose the one spot on that coast from which both can be watched at the same time. Every window was lit as the sun went, and not one person was looking.
