Steps into the Past
A fine art photograph by Justin Cooper
Stone steps, stone walls, stone roofs, and moss coming back over all of it at its own unhurried pace. Every piece of this was cut out of the same hillside it is standing on, which is exactly why it has lasted as long as it has, and exactly why it is losing now. The hill is simply taking its material back. It is in no hurry and it has never once been in any doubt.
